Hey guys... So after a nice long weekend at the lake house we were about to pull the boat (2015 T22 with 50 hours) out and we ran out of gas about 100 yards from the dock. No biggie I guess but what concerns me is that the service engine light came on. I would have checked codes but it was Sunday evening and we are about 4 hours from Denver. I put the rest of the gas I had (about 3 gallons) in the boat and it started right up no problem... I was atleast able to take it out of the water and leave it there but the service engine light was still on. I called tommys and nobody could answer any questions on a Sunday.

Monday morning the service tech told me he's 95%sure it's just a little water in the gas tank and just to run some 91 and some heet in it and we should be all good. But I'm just concerned I'll get back up there Friday and it'll be something else. Anybody have any ideas or any experiences that are similar? Thanks in advance and absolutely loving the boat hope I didn't screw something up!!!!

Start and shutoff the motor about 5-6 times it'll go away.

Is it just an error code then? It does that when it suspects water in the gas tank? It did rain a lot Friday and Saturday

I don't know how you'd have a section of water in your fuel tank that hasn't mixed with the gas sloshing around all day cruising or riding, then it all of a sudden shows up when only run out of gas. Just fire it up and shut it off 5, 6, or 7 times then move on.

The code will reset itself it's probably a fuel pressure code as I'm 99% sure our boats don't have a wif sensor, if you don't want to do the key cycle disconnect the batteries for a few minutes.

Battery disconnect has worked well for me.
