Anyone know a good tower speaker cover for rain or is there any anti theft protection out there?

They're waterproof. They're on a boat. If someone really wants them, they're going to get them. They aren't the easiest thing to get off the boat in my opinion. It would be easier to steal the prop and stereo in my opinion, and that's ignoring all the stuff in it that isn't attached at all.

They are not waterproof...they are water resistant, there's a big difference. Unless you cover them with a cover that does not allow water to penetrate then eventually they will show wear if left to the elements. That's why I couldn't sleep at night if my boat was outside. Even at my dealer I schedule service, drop off, then pickup 3-4hrs later. My boat won't stay overnight. As far as anti-theft you can add all the specialty bolts that need special tools but if the would-be thief can't remove the speakers, they will more than likely vandalize them and/or your vinyl out of frustration.

I have neoprene covers for my skylon towers and they do a good job of protecting them from elements....not theft though.

I've replaced them once in 3 years as they take a beating...but have done the job! I think they were $30 or $40

I have the Malibu covers that I picked up from my dealer. They are for the Icon8s. I just wanted something to keep the bugs off as we trailer a lot.

I've heard good things of this product. I just haven't gotten around to ordering mine.

What we need is protection from the tower speakers. They keep smacking us on the head!

I have speaker sox too. They're pretty good but they fade badly in the sun. I put them on when boat is at the dock, keeps spiders out of speakers.

I had a tower cover custom made with Sunbrella material. You can check it out here viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2987

I also replaced all the screws holding my speakers in with tamper resistant screws and replaced the tower speaker clamp bolts with tamper resistant ones too.

I got all the tamper resistant hardware at http://www.mcmaster.com/

If somebody really wants your speakers, then they will find a way, but they will have to earn it if they want mine...
