I relocated the vent to the top of my bag and do not have any issues with venting or overflowing.
The vent from the factory tanks?
Also, is there any concern of pressure on the PNP bags if you let them fill and overflow from force?
Yes, You take the barbed fitting out of the hard tank and install a plug. Then tie the vent line to the top of the PNP bag. By doing this you can keep the vent line higher than the overflow and the pressure of the bag will not push water out of the hard tank. The tank vents into the bag and out the overflow so you never needing to burp the system. It will also be more "free flowing" and the bag will drain better. The only parts you will need is a 3/4 plug and a 3/4" fitting to connect to the bag. It took me about 15 minutes to do both bags.
