Try pulling the wedge up or adding more bow weight. Problem solved. Next.

I hear things like this all the time. The first things everyone looks at is how much weight, how fast, blah blah.

Yeah those are important but more important is the board type, and the experience of the rider. Is this a setup you've surfed before with this board and rider? If so then something is definitely amiss. I'd swap boards and then riders to ensure it's not a "human" issue.

I agree with most of this. My question is: how many in your crew? Where are they in the boat? What's your weight and what boards and length of boards? Depth? Speedo calibrated?

In my opinion, with the 1100 sack against the rear seat you need an extra 750 sack in the walk way to get the "V" part of the hull down more so it can displace more water instead of pointing straight up just plowing water. There is a point of diminishing returns on just weight in the back. Just like adding extra bow weight, in addition to the bow sack, when wakeboarding firms up the wake for more "pop", adding extra bow weight for surfing when running extra sacks or large crew in the back will also firm up the wake. The more firm the wake, the more push you will get instead of a weak, tall wave.

I tried three different boards and I was pumping like crazy to keep push.
I have the 750's and the bow bag. I think I just need to try it without the
1100 sitting in the back and see if that makes a difference.

Aguaskis, how fast are you going with your set up?

Within the same ranges as you, we run 10.6 to 12. What is your weight in relation to the board length? We've been on a Shortbus Chubernaut (sp?) 4-10 and I weigh 165 ... it was surfable, but has a lot of flex. Also been on a Shortbus 4-2, skim style, very thin stiff board and it was a rocket, foot on the brake all day just to stop from hitting the boat. If you have a local board shop that has demo boards (or other friends), I would start there. If the wake is tall and clean, should be zero issue there ... HAS to be in the board.

So this weekend I decided not to add any extra bags.
So I had the stock plus the 750 PNP's and the bow PNP...best wave I have had.
I guess that solved that problem, I guess more isn't always better.

I think it could work with the extra bag, but you may need a bigger surfgate.

Surf gate was probably too far under water with the 1100.
