I was quoted 225 (per side) - about 30 for shipping and another 15 if I wanted the hardware mounting kit. I was only looking at one side.

I did. I have made a few for personal experimentation, that was my 3rd in the pic. The HPDE plastic is really easy to work with. I just used a table saw with traditional blade and a cordless drill to pre-dill the screw holes. If you do it, make sure you get stainless steel screws and post some pics of your creation. $225/side from joey is a good price considering the effort I have into mine.
