6-8 hours I feel is a little long to tow with a cover. If you see the cover slapping in the wind behind the boat you are probably going to end up with marks. Even if you just see it moving a little.

I don't know. I towed 5-6 hours 10 times last year with the cover on. I make sure it is cinched tight. I can't tell there are any marks from the cover itself. I'll keep a look out though.

I've bought half a snap on cover and I think I'll buy the back half this year. Seems a good option for those who like to tow with a cover on.

Factory cover has way too much excess material to be towing any distance with it on. Unless you protect the gel coat somehow, the material flopping in the wind will eventually damage it. The fact that they provide "tent poles" shows the quality of their cover design. Why I went with an aftermarket cover.

It's pretty tight when winched down. Painters tape the top deck corners and where the Velcro comes down at tower. Definitely going to Velcro bottom of seats and maybe a tie down across the driver seat to the cooler storage compartment to hold down boards and not tow with cover on again. Can really tell with my grey gel coat.
