I've done a number of long trips with the cover off and was Ok until the last trip. The cover was dry the whole trip but I'm not sure if it got loose and allowed the zipper to scuff the boat. Next time I'll just add something extra to ensure it doesn't repeat and make sure it is tight.

For trips to the local lake (30 minutes) we just take the cover off at home.

Never had a problem trailering with a cover...then again I make sure its nice and tight though...but with anything some will be good and some will be bad...just like cars and boats...some people have problems and some don't....

Just make sure it is very tight and you ae using the support pole. I towed mine 5 hours each way to Table Rock with no issues whatsoever and I will do it this way again no doubt!

x2 with spyderwebb... also, for long trips (3+) wrap the rub rail with plastic wrap, go around once or twice. Start and end at the bow, then throw on the cover. it helps preventing scuffs from cover flapping.
