Anyone have any suggestions in a method to remove black mold spots that have appeared on my swim platform. Thanks in advance.

First time in my life I've heard of a platform getting mold. How is your boat stored to accomplish that?

My rear stock pads did it (ones next to cup holders behind engine hatch) cover on outside all winter. I did not clean them just replaced.

I could see anything under a cover that traps moisture. I know there are platform covers made custom as well but just an uncovered platform that has good air exposure sounds unusual.

Must be in Florida. If boat is outside and in shade, the humidity and morning dew will settle on the flat surface and cause this to happen.
i used comet with light brushing (soft bristle brush) then applied quality marine vinyl protection. It helps repel the water but it makes surface a little more slick at first.
This probably shouldn't be done too often. Sometimes I take the platform off and keep it in garage if the boat will be sitting for more than a week. That's a two person job, platform is awkward and heavy to remove.

Mine gets them too. Some purple power or any other mold remover and a scrubber will take most of it off.

We had to replace our old Bu platform pad, it tracked black into the boat. The brand new gray pad had mildew spots almost immediately. Dealer said just to clean it regularly. It's "normal"... It's indiana...

Thanks for all the input, but boat sits in a covered boat dock on a a lift with the swim platform exposed to the elements in Missouri. I'm truly puzzled how this would occur, but I'm happy to hear it's not uncommon. Just doesn't make sense???
