Ask CDoogles. He had the 450 last year. Not sure what prop he was running.

I have the marine power 450 with a 2419 prop and I love it not sure of those prop specs or 2017 gear ratio though

I'm running the 2249/450/1.72 tranny combo on our T22. It does real well so far. If the boat is weighted correctly (i.e. enough bow weight to counteract bow rise) it seems to be able to push whatever we throw at it. We mostly boat at about 4000' so if you are lower it would only be better.

How much weight are you running in the bow?

150 in lead + integrated bow sack will let us push the boat with wedge down, full factory, and 900s about half full. If we fill the 900s all the way, another triangle sack is needed on the seats.

IMHO that's probably more a function of a shorter boat (less boat in front of the drivetrain) than anything else. Doubt you'd need as much weight up front in a bigger boat (say, an A24) because the additional mass in front of the drivetrain will keep the bow down.

I have a 2017 A24 ordered with 450 engine 2249 prop. Dealer is adding 2-750 sacs in rear and 950 sac in the bow. Elevation isn't a issue (560'). This is all new to me. Trying to get as much info as I can with others experiences. I will always have at least 5 people in the boat and 8-10 most of the time. Thanks for all the help

I have a 2016 A24 with the 450. I ordered it with the 2249 prop and put 60 hours on it. It works pretty good but i couldn't load it as heavy as i wanted and it struggled getting out of the hole. I run factory, 1100 in each rear compartment, integrated bow, 450 lbs lead in the bow. I talked to Jim at acme and he sent me a 2775. This prop got it done. That extra bit of weight that lets me add makes a huge difference in the wake. I lost 4 MPH top end and increased wakeboarding RPM's by 2,000. It was worth the trade off for me as i don't do much cruising.
