Hey peeps just got my Install done and want to share!! I dove in and replaced my 2011 MTX tower speakers with 4 Exile SXT65Q's, Harpoon amp, and a ZLR! Supper happy with it all! As a matter a fact the ZLR is a epic $200 purchase!

I Custom installed the ZLR below the throttle in the cubby hole. This thing rocks! It amplifies the signal from the head unit and helps the amps not work so hard. Then the zone control lets me control the volume from my cabin to tower with a separate sub control.

Then toss up 4 swivel mount "Surf" speakers that are loud enough for boarding and crazy loud for cove parties. But I had to order larger clamps due to Axis's tower being the largest tower around at 2 7/8". Lucky that Exile had this figured out for me. I also had to drill new holes in the tower cause the speakers were so large.

Here are the picks of the install. Oh and by the way Brian at Exile is a superb contact. He was available always to help tune or questions for the install! So nice working with these guys.

Also ran my head unit the extra switch so I don't have to use the key!

That's awesome. Love the idea of putting the strap in the garage for the tower too. I might do that. It's such a PITA to get in and out of the boat with the tower down.

Hi Huddy, the exiles look great on your axis. What are they like wakeboarding behind your boat how far behind can you hear them? Also could you put a full boat picture up showing the exiles. thanks dazza

Thanx! I ride 70-75 feet at 23 mph and can hear them clear. These are the "surf" speaker but with four they are as good as the directional xm9's. Those are like laser beams with sound. These have more of a cone or "party cove" set up. Even with surfing you have to turn them down because how loud they get.
