Just tested the 2315. The results are great except for the full ballast 0-23 mph time. It matches the cinco prop time and was blown away by the 1235 and 2419, however, I changed my ballast configuration a bit before I tested this prop, so these results were expected.

I moved out 200 lbs from the tips of my bow and put them mid-rear ship. It doesnt sound like much but it was a HUGE difference on the wake and how my Cinco performed. My Cinco could not get up on plane, even with only 2 people in the boat with this new config without draining ballast during falls. I am not sure that the 1235 could get it on plane but I will not know unless I ever get to test that prop.

I plan on throwing another 800lbs on the floor to see if this 2315 can get it up. I will let you know if and when I do....

Oh man Walter... I didnt get wake pics, but I wish I would have cuz that wake was a monster.

I threw the 800 lbs floor sack on the floor, as well as I added another 200 lbs of lead, 2 bags next to the batteries, and 2 bags behind my sub enclosure. So now I am at 800 lbs of lead = 200 in the nose, 200 under the windshield, 200 under the right bench seat and 200 under the left bench seat. Plus my plug n play. 4800 lbs approx, maybe more maybe less (4950 if going off the numbers on the sacks...)

I had a driver only but we could have had 2 more adults. The 2315 took 20 seconds to get up to riding speed of 24.0, thats the same as it took during my prop test with 2 more adults but 1000 less lbs. The prop did really well. I also ran my normal 3800 lbs plus the extra 200 lead i just added and had 11 people in the boat, cabin only, no bow riders. We had 7 adults and 4 little kids, and I didnt have to have the heavier adults sit towards the front.... the boat was still able to plane fairly well.

Today I put 7.9 hours on it and used 28.3 gallons. That is 3.5 GPH. That is right in line with the 3.2 to 3.3 GPH I was getting with the 1235 with 200 lbs less weight.

I do love this prop

Johnny, Which motor you running? That is great fuel consumption numbers. I never checked my first Axis, but I was using 6gph in my MB with PCM 343.

I have the 335 CAT motor.

Approx 5 of those hours I was running just the 800 of lead and then people and gear. We had 8-12 at all times. The rest of the hours was full ballast.

I never saw a conclusion to the prop testing. What prop pulled the most weight the best on your A22 with the 335?

My 2014 A22 came with an ACME 537 (13.5 X 16), which got damaged by my error when I first got the boat. I found another 537 at a dealer near the lake. Then when I had enough engine hours to fill the bags and drop the wedge, I found that with 6 in the boat and a surfer I had trouble getting the boat to 11.2 mph. If it did get there it was wide open and lugging and could not hold speed. At that time I discovered that I screwed up when I bought the replacement prop that was just as incorrect as the original.

When I took the prop to the propeller facility near my home, Wilmington Propeller Service http://www.wilmingtonpropeller.com (they even do tug boat propellers), I explained how I needed less pitch. We talked about how the boat behaved, showed the videos of wakesurfing (they went crazy for it as they were all old surfers), and they said they would take 2" of pitch out when they unfolded the blade tips. A coule of days later I picked up my "new" 13.5 X 14 propeller. I love this prop. It matches up pretty well to the ACME 1579. Fully ballasted (I think the front is 900 and the rears are 750s) this thing runs rings around my original. Great at wakeboard speed, and for waterskiing (no wedge and no ballast) it is a dream at 28. I rarely ever go faster than 30 - 35 and therefore cannot tell you the top speed at redline. I just really like it as a general purpose wake and ski prop. I cant give an answer on exact GPH, but I use a lot less gas when surfing all day with this prop compared to the original. Also I think the machinery will last a lot longer with the lower torque loading.
