Those prices seem kinda high to me.

new to this forum Hope I am posting this question in the right topic area. I was wondering what you guys were getting for prices for a 2014 a22 with surf gate? I know the prices change depending on features. I am about to pull the trigger and buy a 2013 a22 but am wondering if I should wait and save up a little more for a 2014 A22 with surf gate. The dealer just offered me a really good closeout price on the 2013 A22. My dealer said he could probably do one for around 70k and I tried calling a dealership down south but he said he was asking around 80k for his 2014 A22s with surf gate which seamed really high to me. I guess I should mention that I live up in the northeast so there are not many dealerships around here within a reasonable driving distance. Actually only one.

Welcome and HOLY CRAP that's expensive for an A22!!! Where are you located? I know location plays a part in price but I didn't pay anywhere near those prices for a 2014 A22 w\ SG and ALOT upgrades. I know for a fact that my dealer has a 2013 A22 nicely equipped for about 56K. We are in the low 60s for ours. I will say that I have known the sales manager for 15 years and we are repeat customers. Someone off the street would expect to pay mid to high 60s for our same boat. Do yourself a favor and keep researching, your dealer is hoping you are a sucker.

Also, I wouldn't even consider a boat without SG unless surfing isn't a priority. We surf more than half the time and the reason we are going with an AXIS is because of SG. My wife is very uncomfortable with driving a listed boat.

I will also say that we are in an area where prices are higher than others. We pay a premium for being in the middle of nowhere. :D As said earlier I have seen Vandals go for the same price we are paying for ours.

yeah they are offering me a 2013 A22 with 0 hours on the engine for 57k that is pretty well equipped. Which is pretty much at the top of my budget but if you guys are getting 2014 A22's decently equipped for low 60s then I might try to stretch that extra 4-5k out of my budget for a 2014 with surf gate. I just need to buy something soon so I can still use the tax credit from selling my other boat in october. I do a lot of surfing so surf gate is something I know I want just wasn't sure if it was something I could afford especially after talking to my dealer and the one down south that was starting around 80k which I knew was a joke. If you guys know any good dealerships with 2014 a22's that have surf gate for good prices I'd love to talk to them. I don't mind having to drive distances to buy a boat, kind of expect to around here.

I am up in Vermont. We only have one dealership up here and they just barely started selling malibu and axis last year. They are good guys but just not much stock to choose from. One axis and 2 malibu's in stock right now. A road trip or shipping a boat is fine with me. I just want to try and find the best pricing I can. Making a big jump from my 2002 wakesetter xlv which I sold in october to now looking at brand new boats. A month ago I was looking at 2007 moombas and actually flew down to florida to check one out but it turned out not to be in the "like new" condition the seller had told me it was in and was pretty beat up. I Just love the look of the axis and everything I have been hearing about them. So I am definitely stretching my budget and want to try and get the most I can for my money.

Smully, you should check out North Carolina. I know a couple of boat owners that live there and they seem to get pretty good pricing. Check out www.grandpasmarine.com I can find out a good contact for you.

Just received a text from my dealer. Boat sprayed today!!!! Woohoo. He also said Malibu/Axis is changing the way they do production photos. They will now make a photo book and send it with the boat. Sounds like they won't be emailing pics of production before the boat is delivered anymore.
