I've run the 800s in my a20. With cinco prop and wedge, it struggles to get on plane. I'll probably end up settling on sumo 900s and just not fill them all the way for wake boarding.

Acme 2315, 2419, or 2079 should get up easily

I might try the 2315, but I'm concerned about the potential additional fuel consumption. If I can borrow one from a friend, I will try it. I have no doubt that the 2315 will get the boat on plane with 900s full.

It will probably burn less fuel because your motor is not working as hard and will plane in half the time. So...less work, faster planing with that less work equals more fuel efficient

MXZ22 with 750 rears, 800 in the center and full factory ballast. 2315 had no problems.

I don't think that's quite correct. The 2315 is going to run in a higher RPM range. Higher RPM = more fuel burned.

Fuel consumption is directly related to how hard a motor is working. I'd rather save motor life by only using 1/2 to 2/3 throttle with the 2315 or 2419 then running WOT for 25-30 seconds with motor straining burning fuel with the Cinco. If its less load at less time then it's fuel saving. 300 more RPM cruising may burn more fuel but trying to plane out wakeboarding straining the motor at WOT is definitely going to burn fuel with the Cinco. I think you'll be pleased with the 2315

I'll try it out. Wasn't trying to dismiss your statement, I'm just not convinced unless I test it out myself

think of it like mpg. If you take a v8 with large gears and a v8 with small gears you automatically assume the small gears will get better mpg. If you put a trailer weighing the same behind each motor you will see the small gears struggling to pull while the large gears pulls easier. You will also see the mpg flip, the large gears will get better mpg than the struggling small gears. Now I know this is subjective but similar.

Idahosurf is exactly right. I went from cinco struggling to 2315 with the same setup (ok maybe a bit more weight) and am using less fuel. This is my casual observation though and I do t have numbers to prove it. I spend a lot less time at WOT getting up on plane. I'm sure it would not be so good if I spent a bunch of time cruising around without weight, but I just don't do that.

Ordered the 800's for my A24, I have a 2419 and 2315 prop I'll let you know how they perform in a couple weeks when the ice goes away. Thanks boardstop for the deal!
