I just pulled the two bolts on mine and the wedge comes all the way down and hits the end of the rudder. I tried putting the bolts in the other two holes and it doesn't look it makes much better than the original holes.

Wouldnt the 1-2 inch difference between the two holes be about the same at 1-2 clicks up on a power wedge though?

I am guessing my holes are different.

I could be way off base, but this fancy MS paint drawing is what I have in my mind of the angle by switching the bolt locations. I know it is not that extreme of an angle change, but it was a very quick MS paint job. Correct me if I am wrong or if this is what others have in mind.

You're way off!! haha. So, right now you have the wedge in the normal setting in those pics. The lower bolt hole sits just slightly farther away from the hull and it is only going to change the angle of the wedge very little. But, that little angle change equates to a few hundred more pounds of downforce.

Yeah thats what I was getting at. I said the angle in the pic was extreme and not accurate and it was a quick MS paint job. But the premise of what I was saying = what you are saying. I am agreeeing with you.

My bad. I misunderstood. haha.

Just to be clear though. The lower (empty) hole is the setting to simulate the most weight.

Correct. That wasnt my boat. I was drawing on the picture that someone else posted. My boat is in the lower setting.

So before I ride today, i should drop the bolts from the top hole to the bottom hole?

And a follow up question...Why is this topic just now being discussed? LOL

You guys are a joke. I switched mine from the lower hole to the higher hole. I rode from 11am till 4pm with no difference in the wake. None. Nada. My bolt was in the lower hole when I bought my boat. This thread created something out of nothing.
