I bought an A22 back in april of this year. Its a new 2013. It has Wet sounds speakers and amps. XS 650 rgb all around boat. 2 rev 410 on tower and 1 12 sub under console. The second trip out we noticed the 2 bow 650 sounded horrible. I called the dealer and he said " it could be a bad connection or a busted speaker. I could call wetsounds and get new under warranty." Before I removed the 650's while the boat was in my shop I turned on stereo and only one of the speakers sounded bad. So I removed both speakers and the connections where very good, not loose at all. I put speakers back in and now both sound really distorted kinda like they kick on then maybe go off for a few seconds. So I just unplugged them so I could go play for the weekend. While I was out the sub quit working. Then a few minutes later it started working then off again. It did this all weekend so finally just unplugged it. This is while the volume is around 26-32 so I don't think its a heat problem. Now I also have one 650 on the port side that is not working either. I called dealer back but right now they are so booked they cant give me a date of when they could even look at it and try to figure the problem. Wires are tight at the amp and the speakers. Does anyone think it might be a good idea just to run new wires and how much of a pain is this project. Or any other ideas of what is wrong. This is getting really old working on a new boat more than i did on my 11 year old boat.

some one could chime in with more experience than i, but both your speakers and your sub are connected to one amp. Since you are having issues with multiple speakers then the sub I would check your amp wires 1st or your head unit connection to that amp (you might have an EQ in there)

another thing to confirm that it is the wires would be; Take the one bad speaker and swap it with your a known good speaker and see if it sounds the same

How many batteries? Do you have starter and stereo battery? I'm guessing you have a syn6 for the xs650's and sub. Syn4 for the 2 410's?
I have 4 amps and three batteries. 2 group 29's on the stereo bank and 1 group 24 on starter. If I forget to switch perko to 'all' and leave it on the starter bank the cabins will cut on/off periodically.

Your boat seems fine.....you just got some stereo issues. The sub issue may be independent of your speaker issue. What I would do is go to the amp, disconnect all the speaker wires and work my way from there. Take a picture of the original configuration before doing so. It really helps if you have a little bit of stereo background in wiring them up.

Check the gains on the amp as well. Could be Set wrong and overdriving the speakers. There is a good tuning guide for setting this all up on the wetsounds website. I know mine was not set great from the factory.

Thanks for the info. I have 2 optima blue top batteries and a perko switch. I haven't paid much attention to the way they are wired up yet. I work out of town so as soon as I get home from the lake I put the boat in the shop and head back to work. I know there are 2 amps. I have turned the gain down slightly on both of them while I was on the lake to try to keep sub from kicking off. I guess I will have to skip a weekend at the lake to work on the boat next time I'm home. Just getting a little aggrevated. I had an older boat that was doing good just didn't have the time to fix the little things , so I jumped the gun and bought a brand new one so I could get to the lake and now there are more problems with this boat than my old one .lol I guess that's the life with boats work more than play.

I have seen this several times in the past. It sounds like you have low voltage to the amps. When you take the boat out make sure to set your battery switch to the battery that has your amps connected to it. If low voltage is the issue and the amplifiers are connected directly to the battery. I would recommend that you take the power wire that goes to the amps and connect it to the common pole on the battery switch.
