The sub in my boat will hit and on certain tones or just at a certain volume it will vibrate very badly. Tonight I tried taking the sub out to see if maybe the black kick panel is what was doing it and after taking all the screws out I tried taking the sub out but it appears to be glued on to the kick panel so I tried pulling the whole enclosure out and it doesn't budge at all, any suggestions? Here are two pictures, one of the glue around the sub and another of the back of the enclosure through the cupholder on the dash.

That kinda looks like weatherstrip sealant for automotive stuff, is it still pliable?

Well kind of, it's gooey and really stretchy but I've tried to pull the sub out and it's stuck in place, and I've tried pulling the hole kick panel out and nothing moves at all. It's just stuck. We bought the boat used and the stereo wasn't done by axis it was done by an outside stereo shop, so that's why it's probably not the same setup as everyone else's.

If you can get a heel bar between the panel and speaker and just apply gentle pressure that stuff will eventually pull apart, I've used it a bunch on all kinds of stuff, just have to be patient and it will separate

Well I found the rattle, it's not the sub or anything behind it, it's actually the wire mesh grill that covers it. I had everything screwed back together tightly and nothing rattled. I put the cover back on and once played loud enough it sure rattled again, so I'm not sure what exactly to do. Just roll with out a cover for now or if I could find a cover for the sub that won't have that problem.

You can spend as much as you want on aftermarket sub grills. Some are very cool. I needed a cover for a sub and got a wire mesh grill for $7 online, and was pretty happy with it. It didn't have any skulls or crosses, but it keeps kids from poking holes in it and kept my foot from resting on the sub itself.
