What are the best extra ballast bags to put on top of the seats for Wakesurfing a 2013 axis a22. Ones that fit the best without rolling off and the easiest to fill and drain with out spilling water all over the boat.

I think the fly high tube sac (approx 370lbs) is a great option. That's what we have been using on top of the surf side seats. It also fits nicely in the bow when we need extra weight up front for wakeboarding.

Well as far as size, if you don't have much of a crew (2-3 people) you can take the rear bench seat and set it next to the seat you want the extra sack on. This will give you a lot more support for a sack like a 750 or Ronix 800 (which actually holds almost 900lbs). One thing that will help is filling the rear sack first to get the boat leaning and then fill the extra sack. The most popular external fill pump is the Tsunami pump. The next popular and WAY faster pump is the Ronix 3700. It can't fill the Ronix 400 sack in about 2 min or the Ronix 800 sack in about 5 min or less. The Tsunami pumps takes twice as long. They both will drip just a little bit of water. If you're careful, the amount of water you will drip inside the boat is much less than a wet person coming back in the boat. I can usually fill my Ronix sacks only spilling maybe a handful of water. It takes a just little technique and planning to minimize water spilling.

how wide is the seat? I'm looking at the ronix 8.3 400 pounds and it says 14 - 18 inches wide.

Those measurements are bottom width and top width because the Ronix sacks are a trapezoid shape. Any 400 will work, just remember to fill the PnP sacks on the side you want to surf first to get the boat leaning then fill the extra sack. The lean will help extra to keep the sack on the seat. When I had my 2011 A22 (before my surfgate A24) I had a 750 PnP rear sack then I took the bench seat and placed against the side seat I'm surfing on then I would use a 750 on top. Made a big wave on the goofy side.

One thought, if you are only intent on using 400lb sack, personally, I'd go with eight 50lb bags of lead by Leadwakes and put them under the seat. That way you can keep your seat space and you can move the bags side to side in less than a min. I know a lot of people frown upon using lead as ballast but in my opinion if you keep it under 400 it's actually much easier than filling and unfilling a sack plus having to compromise room inside your boat for the extra sack.

I have plug and play so I fill up the 750 in the back and the center and front with no wedge. When I use the wedge it just turns so white wash. And how much is lead and what is it like? Form and individual weight and how's is it stacked and stuff?
