I'm looking at a 2015 A22 that was the dealer's demo boat.

It has 20+ hours on it and MSRP is $87k.

It looks like dealer's cost on it is about $63k

What do you think is a realistic price for the boat?

Depends on how it's optioned. Standard motor? Sound pack 3? Etc.

I'm confused. Why do the specific options matter if MSRP is $87k and dealer cost is about $63k?

I just picked up a 2014 A22 Vandall brand new for $63k out the door. It's fully loaded. Msrp was 75k. Don't know how much dealers will negotiate on a 2015 but I was looking at a 2014 A22 demo that the dealer was asking $53k. Msrp on that one was 63k.

We chatted but I'd say 15%+ off MSRP is a good deal. Since it's "broke in" with 20hrs I'd say closer to the 17%-20% MSRP. I got 17% off a new build (dealer did get help from Axis rep and the $1000 rebate so 15% off at this point is prob a pretty good price on new).

An $87k MSRP is meaningless to me. I understand that you need some type of baseline, but nobody expects to pay anywhere close to MSRP. Discounts vary from dealer to dealer and the region can also be a factor. Also, if you are a return customer, and have a good relationship with your dealer, you may be able to get a better deal compared to some random guy.

I agree with big silly that 15-17% is a good range, and that range increases for a demo. Some dealers may try to consider a demo as a new boat to get max price for it, but I would look at it from a used standpoint.

On my 2014 Vandall a22 I got 23% off msrp a few weeks ago. This also included the $1000 incentive that I believe ended December 16. Not sure if they have any new incentives.

I got 20% off a 2015 t22 ordered. Shopped several dealers and all seemed to come to a hard stop right at 19-20%.

20% sounds like a screaming deal on a Axis. I wonder if you can do a little better on boats in the line up that were not redesigned (A22 & T23). I worked my dealer pretty hard to get 17%-18%. But hey the dealer needs to make a few bucks to stick around to service my new boat :)

Where are you guys buying these boats at 15-23% off? For that kind of savings I'll have the damn thing shipped to me and still come out ahead from what my local dealer is offering ~9% off a new boat order.
