Wonder if the trailers are just spec'd for the A22 and were just 'tweaked' for the A20 cause them not to have a good fit??

Yeah mine's a malibu as well. It doesn't seem right though.

I will send pics to my dealer tomorrow and have them find out from malibu/axis what's up.

I definitely get mine up to the roller. I actually was about 3 inches short last night and noticed it within a block of driving due to the bouncing. Went back to the launch and pulled it up. Boat is in with the dealer for 20 hour service. I will look at the brass through hull when I get it back.

Did you have to power the boat up onto the trailer further? I have an issue getting my boat far enough up onto the trailer so that when I pull it out the bow remains pressed against the roller. The only way I can make this happen is to use a significant amount of power to get the boat to go on far enough. I thought I could maybe put the trailer in deeper but that just puts the roller too far up on the bow to begin with.

And to the OP, I'll have a look at my hull on the trailer tomorrow to see if my water intake is resting on the bunk like yours.

Hm, another thought. Is this the pickup for the cooling system? If so, how could one hook up a fake-a-lake or similar to start the boat on the trailer? It's really odd to me that they have fittings right on the bunks. I've owned a couple of tow boats before this (mastercraft prostar 190, sanger v210) and neither had anything anywhere close to the bunks.

I talked to my dealer today and he is passing the photo and info to malibu. He told me they would install a flush kit for free since there is no way to hook up a fakealake, secondly malibu will have to advise on either moving the scoop or fixing the trailer. I looked at another A20 today at the dealer and the scoop was about 2"s from the bunk. I'm thinking the early production 16s are off a bit.

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the info. If you wouldn't mind updating again when you get more info I'd also appreciate it. I've emailed my dealer but so far they haven't been responsive. If you can get something out of Malibu/Axis itself that would probably help a lot.

If they want to relocate the scoop, that means drilling another hole in the boat and patching that one, right? Does it make you worried?

Guys... this is BS... if you have had your boat serviced and your raw water intake is in this proximity to the bunk; I would question your dealer about it and HARD.

I had a look at mine today on my '16 A20. I didn't get up under the boat but from what I could see the same bronze fittings are very close to the bunk but I don't think they are touching the bunk.

If you determine there is an issue with this then I will maybe take a closer look.
