I definitely get mine up to the roller. I actually was about 3 inches short last night and noticed it within a block of driving due to the bouncing. Went back to the launch and pulled it up. Boat is in with the dealer for 20 hour service. I will look at the brass through hull when I get it back.
Did you have to power the boat up onto the trailer further? I have an issue getting my boat far enough up onto the trailer so that when I pull it out the bow remains pressed against the roller. The only way I can make this happen is to use a significant amount of power to get the boat to go on far enough. I thought I could maybe put the trailer in deeper but that just puts the roller too far up on the bow to begin with.
And to the OP, I'll have a look at my hull on the trailer tomorrow to see if my water intake is resting on the bunk like yours.
