I think I've exhausted my options and cannot figure out what makes most sense....

Z5 - $2800 - pretty pricey
Carson piper racks - $500 - cannot confirm anyone with an axis with these
Skylon 3" racks with swivels - $1200 - potentially I can sell my factory swivel racks?

I've got one stupid thick liquid force happy pill and on days where the water is absolute garbage I like to surf...otherwise it sits in the boat, gets in the way, and makes me nuts.

What is everyone doing now? I know a ton of folks on here are surfing consistently.

I use the Z5 and love it. This is my 3rd boat with the Z5.

Do you not have the surf straps on your bimini? If not I've seen people take their Bimini to a local shop and have straps sewn on for under $100. That's probably the cheapest and easiest solution for you

The $2800 is from the factory. I bought my 1st Z5 as an add on and it was $3600 for a 2011 A22. Since then I've gotten them as factory option for less.

Do you find it limits headroom? As it is I smash my head on my speakers consistently....with it being lower I would think the problem would only get worse

I'm 6'00" and on my A24 I can stand up under the back half but it slopes a little nose down so I do have to duck towards the front of the Z5. I wouldn't have another boat without it and I'm on my 3rd boat with one.

Same for me on the T23 it does take some getting use to at first.

My old boat had a bimini I had to duck to get under everytime...sucked, even after doing it for 15 years. So I told myself next boat no way, gotta be able to walk under it normally. 1 year with this boat and I still love it...among other reasons too, lol. So I could never see myself putting a z5 on my boat, plus we use w bimini like 1/5 of the time so I don't think I'd like the constant shade.

I have the Z5 but store my boards under the seat behind the driver. In the pic is 3 boards but I can put 5 surfboards in there easily. I don't want to expose my glass boards to the sun unless I'm riding them or else they turn from white to yellowish.
