I have a 2010 A22. The throttle does not have enough resistance so that if you drive a double up without your hand on the throttle it will flop to WOT. This gets exciting if someone is not expecting it. Anyone have any ideas on a fix? I have had the unit out and it does not look like there is anything loose or out of place. Thanks!

I am the second owner. It has been this way as long as I have owned it. The throttle is electronic. Once the boat is in gear, the resistance is artificial as all you are doing is moving a switch. I have seen other fly by wire systems that will have a knob or something on the bottom to adjust the resistance on the lever but after looking inside this one I did not really see any obvious way to do this.

Mine does it too, but I didn't notice it until I put a bigger shift knob on it, I may try putting the original back on and see if it still does it.

Should you change your username to "UNstuckthrottle"?

My malibu bee hive knob does not drop on double-ups - http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=2643
but it is loose and I have bumped it with my knee a couple times and wish it was a bit more firm.

Apparently they have an updated spring to fix this issue on Malibu, maybe it will be the same throttle control for axis too

sorry for the old thread...Mine started doing this recently. Morse controls is now owned by sea star solutions (maybe always has). Jim.Corday@seastarsolutions.com sent me new springs for free. Easy fix:
