I have surfed a handful of boats over the years and I am curious as to other people's opinion on wake and push. Even though my boat is the old school hull, I still feel it is one of the better surf boats I have ridden. The push is awesome for my 230lb butt. Anyone got any opinions on other boats? The only one I found better is the X20. I haven't ridden any of the larger axis boats yet.

Only other boat I have surfed behind is a 1987 Malibu Sunsetter, and the wave was mackin'! Granted the boat is nowhere near stock and the guy owns wake logic so he knows a thing or two about setting up a boat to surf.

My current boat 2016 T23 is great one of the best I've ridden so far.
Others:
15' Malibu 23LSV was Great very similar to T23.
14' Tige Z1 also very good smaller but clean and lots of push.
15' Tige Z3 great wave but needed more weight.
14' Mastercraft X30 was pretty good don't think it was setup correct.
13' Centurion 230 Great Wave regular but not so much goofy and I ride goofy.
11' A22 good push but the smallest of all the waves and I had this thing sacked out.
This is my T23 wave.

I surfed behind a slammed 2016 Xstar. The wave looked good but lacked push. I couldn't keep it in the pocket.

I've only surfed behind Axis boats as of now, but going out this afternoon on a buddy's new X30 to give it a try.

2013 A20- I was actually pretty impressed with the listed wave on this boat. Older style hull and no surfgate but we had it dialed in with extra bags.

2015 A24- Great wave; tall and meaty with nice push. All I could compare it to at the time was my A20 so it obviously blew me away.

2015 A22- My current boat. Not as tall as the A24 wave but longer. (The A24 I rode didn't have any extra bow weight btw) Took a little bit to really dial this boat in but the setup is great now. Nice push and plenty of room to play.

I've surfed a handful of boats.

Our '14 A22 was nice but had to have 4500lbs to get good push. Very little to no lip but a great skim wave.

'14 A20 was very similar to the '14 A22 but smaller and shorter. Still a fun skim style wave.

'15 T22 we didn't have enough bow weight but still a really fun wave with a lot of push. We would drop the wedge to get more lip but still not that hard defined lip. Maybe more bow weight would've helped?

'15 Bu LSV (the boat we ended up buying) we run 4000lbs and the wave is huge. The power wedge allows us to go from a skim style to surf style wave in seconds. Nice long pocket with great push. Still not a defined hard lip. I think this is more of a surf gate thing.

'15 G23 easily the best stock wave I've ever ridden but at a price. There was a ton of push and the lip was nice and defined. NSS made it very easy to change the shape and size of the wave. If money were no object, I would have to seriously consider this or a M235.

'13 Tige Z1 nice defined lip with a good amount of push. Boat is very weight sensitive. If one person moved seats it would alter the wave a lot.

'02 Tige 23V we never could get the wave right. This was before the aftermarket gates and the wife hated the list. She refused to drive. There are others who have had great success with listing the older Tiges.

'12 Tige 22VE very similar to the '13 Z1

I agree with you on your review. My '14 A22 doesn't have a good lip on the regular side but it starts to shape up on the goofy side. With my boat slammed and a 650 triangle bag on the bow seats and a couple of people, mine throws its best wake. Wedge up or down depends on the rider.

I have surfed a G21 and it has a great surf wake considering the owner never surfed it. It was really pushy. It needed some fine tuning to clean it up, we didn't have enough time for that though.

2015 moomba mojo with manual surf tabs is okay. I can ride it fine with my surf board but not so well with the skim. I think my buddy needs to add more weight to it...but he is too hard headed to listen.

I thought about this and I realized...

I have not surf any boat other than a Malibu or Axis since 2004.

WOW that is a long run.

I would love to try out the surf wake on a number of other lines just have not had the opportunity.

The T23 is a very good wave both in size (height and length) and push. Plus it's stupid easy to set up. Best wave push in my list IMO is 1st Axis T23 (modestly weighted and small crew); 2nd Axis A24 (crazy ballast lol); 3rd Axis T22 (medium weight and crew); 4th MB 23TWB (medium ballast but big crew); Centurion FS44 (medium weight but big crew). Here's what I've surfed...
2011 A22 (old style and new style non-surrogate platform)
2012 Axis A22
2011 Axis A20
2008 Malibu LSV
2014 Malibu LSV
2015 Axis T22
2015 Axis T23
2014 Centurion FS22
2008 Moomba XLV
2011 Moomba LSV
2012 MB F21
2012 MB 23TWB
2012 MC X23
2014 Malibu 22 MXZ
2014 Axis A24
2014 Supra SC 350
2010 Nautique 226
