I have a 2016 A20 which struggles to lock on to cruise control. I set the speed and manually get it close, sometimes it locks on other times not. I don't have the zero off gps cruise. Any advice? Thanks.

Have you checked your set speed using a gps device or app on your phone?

I haven't tried a gps app yet. We are going out next weekend and will try that. Even if the speed is slightly off shouldn't the cruise still kick in?

It will have problems staying engaged, when I bought my 2016 A20 my speed was off by 4 mph. When I thought I was going 23 I was only going 19 via gps app on my phone. If you go into speed calibration in the menu it will give you a percentage, mine was 16% from the factory and I had to bring it down to 5% for boat speed and gps to be the same.

You have to get to speed and it should beep when it takes over. If it doesn't beep it means you need to give it more throttle. Seems weird to me that it should have anything to do with calibration. I haven't had any problems with mine.

Try just putting the throttle all the way down. U don't need to manually get it close. Just drop the throttle. If it's working properly it will speed up past the set speed and then back off down to the proper speed. I'm not saying your speedo isn't out, mine was. But whatever you have it set for is what speed it will adjust too. That's how I have always done it with my 08 Malibu and 2014 t22. Good luck!

I agree with zurri, I just drop the throttle all the way down and don't touch it again. I never have an issue. Also, I do recommend checking your speed with a GPS.

I have noticed with the more aggressive prop I di get more over shotting of speed when we first start but usually not a huge deal.

Same as above. You have to throttle PAST your desired speed.
