Pull the seat bottom up behind the driver seat and see if you can slip anything between the hull and the stringer a zip tie fit in mine

I've came to an agreement with Malibu for repair. They are going to make it right and make me whole. Other than that, I agreed not to disclose the terms of our agreement.

Yep exactly as mine was. The repair looks 10x stronger glued up better and layered over as well. Took it out last weekend after the repair and no more hull thumping like it always had so must have been like that from day one till it finally got worse and pulled free

Got my boat back yesterday. I drove to the factory to pick it up. Ron Adair (customer service/warranty) was a pleasure to deal with. I haven't gotten it back on the water yet but I feel confident that it was repaired properly. When going through the boat, they also found the swim platform had a small crack, they put a new platform on along with the newer style pins with the retainers. They also fixed other minor gel coat imperfections. My black boat looks like a mirror now. Not a single bump or waive in it. The windshield closes better now as well.
The techs said it was by far the cleanest boat they've ever gotten back. They even asked what polish/wax I used and said they're going to experiment with it.
I know (unofficially) the root cause of these issues. PM me (if you've had the same issue) and we'll talk via phone. I don't want any negative publicity out there electronically for Malibu. They took care of me and I would not hesitate at all buying another Bu or Axis from them.
