So took the boat to a buddy's (10 miles away) to test the batteries and the bimini boot zipper just busted open, and the top came unrolled and the wind wrecked the back part of the top. I had only gone 4 or 5 miles when I noticed, pulled over, but it was too late.

With that said, and I know its a long shot, but anyone have a stock bimini they want to part with? I really just need the canvas (I think - assuming the tubing can be removed and reinstalled in a new canvas). Checked with dealer and they said it would be 2 weeks out just to have it made, and it would be a $570 plus shipping for just the canvas.

They are not bad to buy new..

$570 seems a little steep to me. R33 - do you know where to get one cheaper? Let me know where if you do please, or if anyone has any suggestions.

Keep the frame and have it recanvased. I did it with my last boat for under $300. Boot included.

$570 is what your dealer quoted for just the canvas? When I ordered my boat that was the price for the entire standard bimini but I went with Z5

I would call bakes.. I knok they can make ones locally for a decent deal but not sure about the oem one.

Yes - the dealer quote was $570 for replacement canvas and boot, plus shipping.

I will try bakes, and maybe get anoter dealer quote.

So I found out that Apex is the original manufacturer, and they are making a new canvas for me. Its going to be $500 directly from them and 2 or 3 week lead time. Just wanted to update you all.

I have one that was used for 1 season and then has been sitting. The frame, canvas, and zipper cover.
