I am a boat guy, but not a stereo guy and need your help. I have a 2014 T22 with stock stereo speakers inside the boat. When the RPM's exceed 3,000 you can't hear the music at all. I'm thinking of either installing better in-boat speakers, or tower speakers. I dont need to have the music blasting back 80 feet, but I would like to at least hear the music while driving and maybe while wakesurfing too.

Here's my question:

Should I go the route of upgrading the in-boat speakers, or instal tower speakers?

So it sounds like you have sound pack 1 no tower speakers, no bow speakers and no sub?

Rev 10s are wetsound tower speakers and sd2 is the amp to power them, if your more worried about cabin stereo, add bow speakers and upgrade all the inboat 6.5" speakers and add a sub and 2 amps if you want towers as well add them to the list and a 3rd amp. Look into wetsounds, exile, jl, rockford fosgate, or kicker marine stuff they all have their place depending on what your after and your budget.

Based on your comments I would look at exile towers.. the rev10s are awesome but more for long projection. I would like 4 exiles vs 2 rev 10s for surfing. Exile sells a package that is not that expensive. As far as cabin I would get a 6 channel amp and power the stock speakers and add a sub to start off with, it will be a huge upgrade vs the deck power and you can always upgrade the speakers later.

Adding bow speakers was helpful. Do that with an amplifier to properly power the interior speakers. This goes a long way. You can also reduce engine noise by installing a fresh air exhaust unit. The HCLD speaker, like explained by r33 are more for projection. The surf style tower speakers may be better for your use, I'm not really familiar.
