It's an option with stereo pack 1, but I think it is included with stereo pack 2 and 3. Personally I'd like it in a different place. My kids seem to find it regularly with their backsides :).

Where do you boat?

Personally, I'd like to remove mine. Never used, kids just screw with me by pushing the buttons.

Mine has been unplugged for 2 years, keeps getting sat on and inadvertently the volume goes full blast every time.

Hi Dave, Im on Kal lake most of the time. They have a great launch and is never too busy. And always can get away from the wind. If your in the area and see the boat, say hi.

It's nice to see some b.c. boys on the site. The remote is definitely in a bad spot but very convenient when just sitting on the back of the boat. If I had the option I would relocate it 10 inches to the right.

Better yet, relocate it inside the cabin by the two rear speakers. And offer another ipod/iphone connection back there so the kids don't have to reach across the driver to play their music...

On our current boat we use you can see the remote behind my leg under the sunpad cushion. Great place for it. Out of the way and no one can sit on it. Yes its a MC.
